Transportation theme-Review of letters R,P,T and I

This week has been about reviewing the letters R,P,T and I.I want him to feel comfortable with these letters. When we read books we look for these letters.

We had a car wash and raced cars down the driveway.

I made a road in the shape of these letters.

We played a lot but he really started to get the letters.I made paper airplanes and put the letters on it.We tried to get it on the table, how high,or far we could throw it!He would pick up the winning airplane and say what letter it is.The crane joined the game and picked up blocks with....you guessed it....our letters P,R,T and I.
I decided to make words with these 4 letters.

Planes,trains and cars-Letter I,R,P,and T-Preschool and Toddler lesson

Devotional:1Nephi 16:10 Story of the Liahona
10 And it came to pass that as my father arose in the morning, and went forth to the tent door, to his great astonishment he beheld upon the ground a round ball of curious workmanship; and it was of fine brass. And within the ball were two spindles; and the one pointed the way whither we should go into the wilderness.

This is a great lesson to follow the Lord. Reading the scriptures is like our compass in our day.

Airplanes, trains and cars(Letter P and T)-preschool and toddler lesson

Devotional: scripture road signs
Letter:P and T
Number:1
For letters we are looking for recognition before we move on.I may add another, but only if it is one requiring a straight line.Letters like B,L,K,H,F,D,I,R and E.My plan is to use lots of cars and trains, Lego's and ninjago, since that is what my boys are interested in.We will really be focusing on writing and reading.Recognition, recognition, recognition!
Here to kick off the fun is our creation. This is P.T.He is part plane and part Train. He is helping my boys learn the letters P and T.We are getting ready for Kindergarten next year!
We played with blocks, which could take up the full time anyway.
 All aboard the snack express!
Why not add some education right? We played is it a plane or a train? If it is a plane he went into the hanger marked P.If it was a train it went to station T.

How to remodel your life

Sorry I have been MIA from the blogging world! Our renters bailed on us in the middle of our contract. Not only that, but they did a quite a bit of damage!
I was really angry at first and worried how we would afford all of it!It is like I went through the 3 stages of grief, that is,denial, anger and acceptance
I have been so amazed how many friends, and family, have helped us this week!I stopped thinking of this as a bad thing and enjoyed working with family, and growing closer because of it.

We have made so much progress and the house looks better because of it.This is a lot like our trials. It is hard and requires patience and working through it,but when you are done, you are a better person because of it!

There is a quote from this last General Conference by Dieter F. Uchtdorf
"Do not wait to see the rainbow to thank God. Thank him for the rain."

During these hard times it is hard to find what you are thankful for. Each trial is like a remodel. As you start planning your project, identify the area in your life you want to remodel and take some time to consider your lifestyle and how this trial/change fits into the picture. Consider how you’re seeing your trial now and what you want this remodel to accomplish.

2.Consider what you need and want. This means looking at your priorities. Will you grow old with an illness or a family members illness, or is this an update to freshen up your life? What is the trial trying to accomplish?
