Summer of Sucess-Week 2,Day 1&2
Day 1-
Devotional: Obedience
Colossians 3:20
“Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.”
A Promise to Keep
By Mabel Jones Gabbott
My Heavenly Father and I—we have a promise to keep.
We made it long ago and it is binding and true and deep.
For He promised blessings untold, and I promised I’d live His way.
He gives me courage, faith, and love—all I must do is obey.
My Heavenly Father tells me I’m a child of eternal worth.
He gave me parents, teachers, friends to guide me here on earth.
He knows I may stumble and fall, but he will help me when I pray.
I’ll be true, He’ll keep His promise, and I’ll return to Him some day.
“… Remembering that life is a time of rewards and punishments, … consider … the rewards which come … for obedience.”
Spencer W. Kimball
